The True Gospel of Christ

The True Gospel - Welcome

Image
Greetings! I'm Thalia, a believer and follower of the Son of God Jesus Christ.  It's All About Jesus The purpose for this site is first and foremost to glorify the Most High God by lifting up the truth of Jesus Christ and His word. I will contend for the faith once delivered to the saints (Jude 3), because faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. By faith in Jesus we can have eternal life, which He defined for us:  "And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent. " (John 17:3) The most important thing in our lives is to KNOW the true God and Savior Jesus Christ, the one who made us and loves us, which we can do by reading His preserved word in the Bible.  His word is the only objective truth.  He has spoken to us most directly through His Son Jesus because everything He said came directly from the Father, and so we ought to give the most earnest attention to every word of His doctrine. He Is the First and the Last

Image
God calls Himself in the book of Isaiah the “First and the Last,” a unique title reserved for Him that reveals some of His attributes. Jesus also calls Himself the first and the last while speaking to the apostle John as is written in the book of Revelation. This is a clear example among many others showing that Jesus Christ is Jehovah God and possesses all of His attributes; in the meaning of the phrase “the first and the last,” we see evidence that it points to the full deity of Christ as the everlasting Creator.    “Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God. ” –Isaiah 44:6  “I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last …” –Revelation 1:10-11 “And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am t...

Den of Thieves

Image
1 Peter 2:1, 3 “But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgement now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.”   We are warned in scripture about false teachers and prophets who through greed make merchandise of the people of God. Now that can mean one of two things: either that they simply profit from the church, or that they turn the church itself into a kind of commodity. Both would create the same outcome either way, which is turning the gathering and fellowship of the saints into an industry rather than leaving it as a free and holy institution of God. It’s no longer truly welcome to all, even if it pretends to be. And the scripture says that they do this through coveto...

The Meek Savior: Our Servant King

Image
A study of the meek and loving nature of God, which is seen in Jesus Christ, and how the world is spiteful against Him without a cause  He’s Not What the World Expected “He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world knew Him not.” (John 1:10) The Creator came down into His own creation to dwell among them, and they could not recognize Him. The likely expectation of the world of who the Son of God would be is a person who is boastful and self-exalting, one who thinks he should be treated as highly as he views himself. This person would be loud and having an outward glory to show for himself that he is something. They might think, If God were to come to us He surely would reveal Himself to be as lofty as He is and require that worship and recognition He deserves. But to the contrary, Jesus is meek and lowly in heart. Though He is surely worthy of all honor, so much that however much we honor Him is how much we honor the Father, He did not require or demand i...

Is Christ Divided?

Image
Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?  (1 Corinthians 1:13) When Jesus sent His apostles to go out into the world, He told them to teach all nations whatsoever He had commanded them, not what anybody else said. There was no room for division if they spoke and believed the same words. So when we evaluate the current state of the church being divided up into thousands of different denominations and groups, we can confidently say that this is not the will of God. Jesus Christ  is not divided against Himself.  There is only one  true faith, one Savior, and one hope of our calling.  Rather He prayed to the Father for the unity of His people and said how this, even this, would make the world to know that the Father sent Him. He even repeated it multiple times which shows us how important it is to Him, and if it's that important to Him then it should be that important to us also. If He prayed these things, we ought to p...

Supernatural Unity Under the Headship of Christ - DOC Clip

Image
If we will allow God to teach us His word through the Holy Spirit, we as believers in Christ will come into the same understanding concerning what Jesus taught and be united under His headship and His alone. This is a unity brought directly by God Himself and not through the authority or headship of some man. The only man we submit to is the man Christ Jesus, and His words are the only doctrine we ought to speak.  If we seek Christ's words in humility and in the fear of God, and detach ourselves from manmade theological systems and traditions, we can unite under the pure headship and authority of Jesus Christ and be as one body which we are meant to be. We are not supposed to be scattered through various denominations and unbiblical traditions.  This clip is taken from the DOC season 8 episode 16, "Supernatural Unity" with David Carrico and Jimmy Cooper. Here's the link to the full video which I highly recommend:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ER7QLrR5FkU&t=768s...

Refuting Calvinist Doctrine -- TULIP

Here is a basic outline refuting the main points of TULIP, the acronym of the doctrine in Calvinism: T-total depravity ·        There is depravity in man, but not “total depravity” such that he could not willfully choose to have faith in Jesus. God gave all people free will. o    Romans 10:8-10 (to be saved we must believe in Jesus from the heart—it’s OUR choice)   U-unconditional election ·        There is election, but not “unconditional election” where the will of humans has no place in where they’ll go for eternity. People are elected for their faith, not elected to have faith. God has foreknowledge of who will believe but He doesn’t make them believe. o    1 Peter 1:2 “Elect according to the foreknowledge of God…” o    1 Timothy 2:4 (God desires all to be saved. The only thing stopping anyone’s salvation is THEIR OWN unbelief.)   L-limited atonement ·   ...

What Is the One True Gospel?

Image
God came down to us from heaven in the form of a man, being sinless and upright, to reveal to us who He is and bring us back to Him.  This is the message of the gospel, that God, the one who created all of us, loves us so much that He wants to save us from our destructive sin and bring us to Himself so that we might know Him and live with Him forever.  The only way for us to be reconciled to Him is through His only begotten Son Jesus Christ, who is fully man, being born of a virgin, and fully God, conceived of by God's Spirit. He is God our Creator manifest in the flesh. Or in other words, He was revealed to us in human form.  "... God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them..." (2 Corinthians 5:19) We have all sinned against God in our lives, and Jesus said that everyone who commits sin is the servant of sin. But He came so that we can be freed from sin and the heart problem that causes it, so that we can live as servant...
